Voting in Russia’s presidential election has started.
The ballot vote is taking place from 8am to 8pm local time, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
More than 97,000 election precincts, of which over 400—abroad, are opened.
About 1,500 international observers from 109 countries will follow the election.
Eight candidates, including incumbent President Vladimir Putin, are running for president.
