 German government will spend 78 billion euros on migration policy till 2020, Der Spiegel magazine reported on Saturday citing a document by German Finance Ministry.

An additional eight billion euros that the federal government agreed to transfer to states and local communities to cover their costs through 2021, Reuters reported.

The biggest amount of 31 billion euros is supposed to combat the root causes driving people to leave their homes.
