A total of 132.5 million cubic meters of gas are now stored at the Abovyan underground gas storage, Armrusgasprom reports.
The new, largest, section of the gas storage was put into operation last October, which made it possible to store much gas.
The capacity of the gas storage has been brought up to 140 million cubic meters. A total of 643 million AMD (about U.S. $1.7 million) were allocated for construction last year. The construction will continue in 2011-2013, which will increase the capacity by 42 to 43 million cubic meters more.
