A Chinese farmer found a stone which looked like a turtle fossil dating back 150 million years to the Jurassic Period, Xinhua reported.
Farmer found a turtle-shell-shaped “rock”. His daughter posted photos on social network, and photos attracted the attention of the local authorities.
Paleontologists from the municipal exploration bureau confirmed it was a fossil of a snake-necked turtle from the Jurassic Period. The remains will be installed in the local geological museum.
