Two persons were charged in the case of extortion of money from a former deputy of the RPA faction Hovhannes Sahakyan.

According to the indictment, in 2015, Tigran Arekelyan, together with Hayk Sargsyan and other unidentified persons, extorted $100,000 from Hovhannes Sahakyan in exchange for the information used against him. However, blackmailers did not get their money.

Both were released on their own recognizance. The case was referred for trial.
