YEREVAN. – Leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan commented on possible cooperation between his party and Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan.

“The matter is not on the agenda, but any person has right to be involved in politics,” Tsarukyan told reporters on Saturday.

Tsarukyan did not answer when asked about the conditions under which his party may cooperate with Kocharyan.

As to political persecution against the second president, Tsarukyan emphasized that this matter has to be considered in legal context.

“They are investigating and will respond, we will share our opinion and impressions then.”
