The realignment of political parties is one more piece of evidence of preparations for parliamentary elections in Armenia, Larisa Alaverdyan, a member of the Heritage parliamentary faction, told Armenian News.-NEWS.am, commenting on the reports that the brother of the crossbencher Victor Dallakyan jointed the Rule of Law Party.

"We have witnessed a whole party join another party, which is a unique event in international practice. We see a party joining another, which is a sign of pre-election party realignment," she said.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that the Progressive Party of Armenia and the Youth Party of Armenia merged with the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) the other day.

"We are going to have rather tense situations in 2012, with no improvement of political culture," Alaverdyan said.

As regards the report that Razmik Zohrabyan, Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), spoke of disagreements between the RPA and PAP, Alaverdyan said: "Human relations fill Armenian society. The tense relations became a subject of informal discussions first. The fact that officials are confirming the rumors is evidence that most rumors are well-founded. On the other hand, there are baseless rumors."

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that Samvel Dallakyan, brother of the crossbencher Victor Dallakyan has reportedly jointed the Rule of Law Party. Also, Artashes Geghamyan, Vazgen Manukyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan and others are expected to join the party soon.
