STEPANAKERT. – President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), Bako Sahakyan, on Sunday partook at the festive events marking the 27th anniversary of the proclamation of NKR.

President Sahakyan, together with President Armen Sargsyan of Armenia, visited the capital city Stepanakert Memorial, and laid wreaths and flowers to the tombs of those fallen during the Karabakh War for Artsakh’s independence and freedom and to the monument to first chairman Artur Mkrtchyan of the NKR National Assembly (NA), Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Artsakh Republic second President Arkadi Ghukasyan, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan—Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh, NA speaker Ashot Ghulyan, Minister of State Grigori Martirosyan, some other senior officials from Artsakh and Armenia, representatives from the Armenian diaspora, and foreign guests also were on hand at these events.
