YEREVAN. – The construction of the North-South road corridor should continue, Armenian Transport Minister Ashot Hakobyan told reporters on Tuesday.
According to him, the suspension of construction works is the worst solution, since the work done will be in vain.
Asked whether there are any fund to continue the construction of the road corridor, his answer was yes, adding that depending on the pace of work, funds will also be received within new tranches.
According to him, the construction of the road corridor may be completed within either five or 10-12 years, depending on international and state funding and the pace of work.
“However, the work should continue,” he concluded.
