YEREVAN. – I have repeatedly criticized the Prime Minister for the foreign political shortcomings, and this did not refer solely to Armenian-Russian relations.

The National Assembly vice speaker and former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) spokesperson, Eduard Sharmazanov, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To the remark that, with their statements, the RPA members seem to be “calling for help” from Russia against PM Nikol Pashinyan, Sharmazanov responded as follows, in particular: “

“I have criticized his [Pashinyan’s] approaches on the Armenian-European agenda, after the visit to Brussels too.

“Second, (...) not Sharmazanov, but he himself—Pashinyan—has ‘called for help’ from Russia against Armenia, since he was citing [Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry] Peskov and [Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs official representative] Maria Zakharova several times a day, from the platform of the [Republic] Square [in downtown capital city Yerevan], during the rallies.

“And finally, third, yes, I believe that the unsuccessful public humorous responses by the PM can [negatively] affect relations between our countries.”
