YEREVAN. – Speaker of the Armenian parliament Ara Babloyan on Monday received a delegation headed by Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze.

Ara Babloyan noted importance of close contacts between the lawmakers of the two countries. In this context importance of cooperation within the international agencies was also highlighted, parliament’s press service reported.

Giving positive assessment of parliamentary diplomacy, Bakhtatdze said that friendship between the two nations dates back to the centuries, and Georgia is always ready to develop relations with Armenia. PM stressed importance of deepening mutually beneficial economic cooperation along with the development of political ties.
