YEREVAN.- Hayk Marutyan, the actor-turned politician who is running for Mayor of Yerevan from the My Step bloc in the early City Council elections, promised new metro stations, parks and transportation system.
During the rally in Erebuni, Marutyan said that the program consists of 50 points. It implies direct democracy, that is, all the burning problems of the city will be solved by referendum or online voting.
"From now on nobody can make individual decisions. You will vote on the website of the mayor's office, and the most important issues will be resolved by a referendum", Marutyan noted.
The candidate promised to solve the transport problem, build several new metro stations, planting 500 trees for 5 years.
