At least 50 people were killed in an explosion during protests in Nangarhar province, eastern Afghanistan, TOLOnews tweeted referring to Provincial Public Health Directorate.

A suicide bomber reportedly blew himself up on Tuesday in a crowd of protesters gathered in the Momand Dara district of Nangarhar province.
According to him, the protesters gathered with the demand to dismiss the commander of the police forces of the Achin district, located near Momand Dara.
Earlier on Tuesday, a series of explosions were reported that hit three educational institutions in Nangarhar province. According to AFP, one boy was killed, four more people were injured as a result of the terrorist attack near the school in the city of Jalalabad - the administrative center of the province
None of the terrorist groups has taken responsibility for the incident.
