YEREVAN. –  Officer of internal troops Tigran Abgaryan was killed by special forces, head of the Special Investigation Service, Sasun Khachatryan, told reporters on Tuesday.

“We have a clear proof of that. Tigran Abgaryan was killed when Kocharyan had already declared a state of emergency, but there was no wounded officer yet. Our version is that Tigran Abgaryan was shot dead so that Kocharyan's words about the injured were confirmed. It is enough to start hunt on me and Mr. Vanetsyan [the director of the National Security Service], that is why we did not publish the data,” Khachatryan said.

According to him, they have evidences that a large part of uniforms was distributed to the security guards of the oligarchs from the Defense Ministry depot.

Khachatryan noted that it was done so that they looked like other military officers.

Tigran Abgaryan served in the special police squad. He was wounded on March 1 and died on April 10, 2008.
