YEREVAN. - Participation in the humanitarian mission in Syria stems from Armenia’s interests, Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan told reporters on Wednesday.
The minister noted that this refers to sending a division comprising around 100 military specialists—including doctors, sappers, and a team to ensure their safety.
Tonoyan said the dates for their being sent to Syria will depend on the completion of the preparation of the legal grounds for their deployment and technical support.
