YEREVAN. – Thanks to the velvet revolution, we will have free, fair and transparent election on September 23, Yerevan mayoral candidate Hayk Marutyan said during his meeting with voters on Wednesday.

“We have not seen free, fair and transparent election for twenty years,” he said, adding that no one can take away people’s victory.

The candidate presented a campaign program consisting of 50 points with the main nine provisions being democracy through a direct referendum, finding solution to the transportation problems, garbage collection, solution to the problems with elevators, improvement of polyclinics, schools and ecological situation in the city, as well as tourism development and urban beautification.

Hayk Marutyan said “My Step” bloc has political will to solve these issues.
