STEPANAKERT. – Speaker of the Artsakh parliament Ashot Ghulyan received Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

Head of the parliament stressed the importance of holding frequent meetings with the Armenian Foreign Minister in terms of clarifying the agenda and priorities of foreign policy. In this context, Ashot Ghulyan pointed to the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in representing Artsakh in international agencies.

Touching upon the current challenges and problems, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan noted that now the most important task on the Artsakh issue is security and status.

The interlocutors exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, intensification of inter-parliamentary diplomacy and prospects for the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.

Chairman of the standing committee on foreign affairs Arzik Mkhitaryan, deputy chairman of the committee Davit Melkumyan and Deputy Foreign Minister of Artsakh Armine Aleksanian took part in the meeting.
