Before the beginning of the informal EU summit in Salzburg, UK Prime Minister Theresa May urged the Europeans to make concessions in Brexit talks.

After the UK improved its position, the European Union should do the same to get a good result, DW reported.

May noted that the future free trade zone between the EU and UK should not be extended to services and refuted the EU's argument that her country, by insisting on an independent service sector, is trying to undermine competition.

According to current plans, UK companies will have to comply with the same requirements as European firms. The UK PM confirmed the negative attitude towards the establishment of a customs border between Northern Ireland and the rest of Britain and added that this would not have been accepted by any other country in a similar situation.
