YEREVAN.- Armenian Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan received on Wednesday Japanese Ambassador Jun Yamada and military attaché, Colonel Atsusi Takatse Igor Kandrachion on the occasion of his  accreditation to the Republic of Armenia, Defense Ministry's press service reported.

The Defense Minister congratulated the newly appointed attaché and wished him success in his mission in Armenia. At the same time, the possibility of developing Armenian-Japanese relations in the field of defense and military medicine was mentioned. 

Ambassador Yamada, in his turn, highlighted the importance of cooperation in the defense sphere and expressed hope that in the nearest future, progress will be recorded in a number of directions.
