Turkey has applied to German authorities via Interpol 848 times with arrest and search requests for Turkish nationals following a coup attempt in 2016, Ahval reported quoting Deutsche Welle.

According to the information provided by the German Ministry of Justice, responding to a parliamentary question submitted by the Left Party (Die Linke), in 791 cases Turkey requested arrests of Turkish nationals, while asked the residential addresses of 57 people.

 

The Ministry did not clarify in how many cases Germany responded positively to Turkey’s requests.
