Iran will block any OPEC decision that poses the slightest threat to Iran, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said.

According to him, OPEC deal on the reduction in production, reached in 2016, in a deplorable state.

He noted that the OPEC Joint Monitoring Committee, which will meet at the end of the week, has no authority to implement the new supply chain.

“I will block any OPEC decision that poses the slightest threat to Iran,” Bloomberg reported quoting Zanganeh.

According to him, any decision on a new production agreement by OPEC’s Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee that meets on Sunday would be “void” and “invalid.”

“Decisions can only be made at OPEC meetings in the presence of all OPEC members and by consensus of members,” he noted.

According to him, the US President Donald Trump decided to annul export of Iranian oil without consulting with experts or government.
