YEREVAN. – Poland is open for economic cooperation with Armenia but the Armenian government should determine what should be done before and after the early parliamentary elections, Polish Ambassador to Armenia Pavel Cheplak told reporters.

His remark came after a briefing dedicated to the 24th UN Climate Change Conference in Katowice.

According to him, for the first 5-7 months a 12-13% increase in turnover was recorded, however, it is not as high as desired.

“The trade turnover has never exceeded 100 million dollars per year,” he said.

Pavel Cheplak noted that the figures are not so high, as not all goods are imported directly. For example, Polish sweets are imported by Armenia through Belarus, while Armenian juices are exported to Poland from Bulgaria.
