Two brothers were stabbed Wednesday in downtown Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

Several Yerevan traffic police officers were on duty at a downtown Yerevan intersection, when city residents Vigen P., 27, and Edgar P., 23, had approached one of them, at around 6:20pm.

According to shamshyan.com, the police officer noticed that they had sustained injuries, and the officers of the law took the injured to hospital with their police car.

Shortly thereafter, police found out that Yerevan resident Marat M., 29, had stabbed them. 

The police and the investigation department are conducting a search and an investigation, respectively, to find Marat M. as well as the object that was used in this crime.

According to the source, the stabbing victims are brothers.
