Georgia must become a full-fledged member of the European Union and NATO, said the Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze.
“This is our philosophy, our priorities and the will of the Georgian people,” the prime minister said.
Earlier, Bakhtadze met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Summing up the meeting, US State Department spokesman Heather Nauert noted that Pompeo confirmed the firmness of bilateral relations between the US and Georgia.
“The United States stands with Georgia…and continues to support Georgia’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. The United States will continue to support Georgia’s efforts to enhance the rule of law and accountable government,” Georgia Today reported, quoting Nauert.
