Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan received prominent cultural figures Martin Vardazaryan, Yervand Yerznkyan, Levon Malkhasyan and Ashot Arakelyan, Artsakh President press service reported.

Various issues related to the development of cultural life in Artsakh were on the discussion agenda.

According to President, such meetings demanded and expedient as they give an opportunity to receive comprehensive and deep perception of various problems in the cultural sphere and ways to solve them.

Bako Sahakyan handed in the "Vachagan Barepasht" medal to composer Martin Vardazaryan and a certificate of honorary title of the NKR Honored Artist to Ashot Arakelyan, highly appreciating their contribution to the development of culture in Artsakh.

Artsakh Republic minister of culture, youth affairs and tourism Lernik Hovhannisyan and other officials were also present.
