There are no foreign laboratories in Armenia.

Tigran Balayan, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia (RA MFA), noted the aforesaid at Wednesday’s press briefing.

To note, this matter refers the several labs in Armenia, and whose establishment was funded by the US. The existence of these labs, however, periodically becomes a subject for “detective investigations” and conspiracy theories.

“There are no biological laboratories of other countries in the RA territory; they are at the disposal of Armenia, and RA citizens work there,” Balayan said. “[And] ever since 2017, Russian experts visit those laboratories, and that’s natural for partners.”
