Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met Fekitamoeloa Katoa Utoikamanu, the UN High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States on Friday in New York.
The sides discussed issues related to ensuring sustainable communication with the outside world for landlocked countries, paying special attention to regional cooperation, ensuring transit participation of these countries in economic ties with the outside world.
The parties stressed the importance of promoting policies for sustainable comprehensive development and implementation of programs of the Vienna International Plan of Action for developing countries and to ensure intergovernmental relations in this regard. Minister Mnatsakanyan underlined that cargo transportation security is important for Armenia.
