YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Friday met with his Mongolian colleague Damdin Tsogtbaatar, within the framework of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The interlocutors conferred on the development of bilateral relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Presenting Armenia’s accomplishments in innovation and information technologies—which are considered the driving force of the country’s development agenda, Mnatsakanyan underscored cooperation in these domains.

Also, the two ministers made a special reference to the avenues for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

At the end of their talk, FMs Mnatsakanyan and Tsogtbaatar signed an agreement between Armenia and Mongolia on the lifting of visa requirements for the two countries’ citizens who hold diplomatic and service passports. The parties expressed the confidence that this document will pave the way for visa liberalization between Armenia and Mongolia.
