Russian, Belarusian and Kazakh ambassadors to Armenia delivered a speech on Monday during the conference titled "Armenian-Russian Military Brotherhood: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” at Moscow State University Branch in Yerevan.

The Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin noted that the general history of the Armenian and Russian peoples, as well as the state relations that are developing to the present day, symbolize the allied and strategic relations between the two countries.

According to him, the victory at Stalingrad has world-historical significance, since the myth of the invincibility of the German fascist troops was dispelled.

"Armenia is well aware that the victory at Stalingrad stopped the Turkish plans, as the latter was Germany's ally," said the Russian Ambassador to Armenia.

According to him, the efforts should be united in order not to allow the deed of Soviet soldiers-liberators to be belittled, as well as to counteract attempts to falsify history and glorify nazism.
