The package of bills on making amendments and additions to the constitutional law and in related laws on making amendments and additions in the constitutional law on Armenia’s electoral code has been made public.

It has been posted on the country’s Unified Website for Publication of Legal Acts’ Drafts.

As per the validation of this package, the key objective of these election law reforms is the establishment of a democratic electoral institution in Armenia.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently announced that he will step down soon, and a snap parliamentary election shall be conducted in December. Thus, the National Assembly needs to pass these amendments to the electoral code in time for this voting; otherwise, the latter could be held under the former election law.
