Our current delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) represents the former corrupt system [in Armenia].
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday stated the aforesaid speaking to reporters.
“As I communicate with international representatives, I haven’t heard any complaints [from them regarding Armenia] yet,” Pashinyan said. “If our [current] National Assembly [numerous MPs] were accusing some of carrying out ‘caviar diplomacy’ at PACE, I believe they also need to look at themselves and stop spreading lies about the [present-day] situation in Armenia.
“It doesn’t bring honor at all to the [former ruling] Republican [Party of Armenia] MPs and to our PACE delegation that they are attempting to present the events unrolling in Armenia in other light; and this is yet another reason for snap parliamentary elections to take place [in the country].
“In essence, our [current parliamentary] delegation to PACE doesn’t represent anyone; it represents the former corrupt system.
“When the [PACE] co-rapporteurs arrive in Armenia, I believe we will not have much to say. Let them come, monitor everything in the Republic of Armenia, and everything will be clear.”
