The Council of Europe (CoE) cannot assume just an observer’s status; it should spare no effort to assist in the democratic processes taking place in Armenia.

Edmon Marukyan, a member of the “Way Out” (Yelk) Faction at the National Assembly of Armenia, stated about the aforesaid in his address at the ongoing Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) session in Strasbourg, France.

In particular, he noted that ever since the five months that have passed without the support of the majority of parliament, the new government of Armenia is waging an uncompromising and effective fight against the systemic corruption that is rooted in the country.
