YEREVAN.- Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan  received on Tuesday UK Ambassador to Armenia, Judith Margaret Farnworth, the press service of the ministry reported.

Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his appointment and touched upon existing cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the meetings of a number of British organizations and 17 Armenian IT companies and representatives of business organizations in London.

Minister Hakob Arshakyan thanked for the congratulation, highlighted the need for expanding the cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting a number of opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the fields of transport, communication and information technologies were discussed. They also touched upon the prospects of joint educational and research projects with technology universities in areas such as 5G and semiconductor technologies.

Hakob Arshakyan underlined that the ministry is open for cooperation and is ready to discuss further plans for further activities.
