A dead body was found in a canal in Armenia’s Armavir Province.

On Wednesday at 5:37pm, the 911 emergency hotline received a report informing that there was a dead body in the canal in Shahumyan village, and rescuers were needed to take it out.

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers took the body of Samvel Mkrtchyan, 56, out of the canal.

According to the preliminary forensic medical conclusion, no traces of violence were found on the body.
