Canada hopes for a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, said the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

He highlighted the need for negotiations and a peaceful settlement, the continuation of the Minsk process and a peaceful settlement for the benefit of the peoples of the region.

Pashinyan, in turn, noted that he had informed his Canadian counterpart about meetings and arrangements.

The Prime Minister said that negotiations are taking place within OSCE Minsk Group, but it is very important for international partners to know about Armenian approaches and latest developments.

According to him, the conflict should be resolved exclusively by peaceful means, through negotiations.
