STEPANAKERT. – Speaker of the Artsakh parliament Ashot Ghulyan received member of the European Parliament Jaromir Stetina.

Ghulyan thanked the Czech parliamentarian for his attention to the Artsakh matters as well as for supporting Armenian people.

The MEP confirmed his readiness to contribute to raising awareness about Artsakh in the European Parliament, and also stressed the need to intensify diplomatic work in this direction.

During the conversation, the interlocutors touched upon the democratic processes in Artsakh, the peaceful settlement of the conflict, the prospects for the negotiation process and international recognition of Artsakh.

The meeting continued with the members of the Artsakh-European Parliament friendship group. Welcoming the guest on behalf of the deputies, head of the group Vahram Balayan expressed confidence that the long-standing friendship with the MEP promises new prospects for cooperation for Artsakh.

The sides discussed issues related to parliamentary diplomacy and other areas of interaction.
