The Civil Contract Party will run alone in the snap National Assembly (NA) elections, Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday told RFE/RL Armenian Service.

“Or if with an alliance, then with the format of the My Step alliance,” Pashinyan stressed. “In all likelihood, it will be so.”

And asked whether their colleagues in the “Way Out” (Yelk) NA Faction will be in this alliance, the acting PM responded: “I don’t think so because (…) we well run [in the snap parliamentary election] with the format of the elections of the [capital city] Yerevan Council of Elders.”

As reported earlier, Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday resigned from the office of Prime Minister of Armenia, and a snap parliamentary election is expected to be conducted in December.
