YEREVAN. – Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Armenia’s Acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan reflected on the recent statements by outgoing US Ambassador Richard Mills.

Asked whether he sees a subtext in these statements, Mnatsakanyan responded: “We work within the framework of our positions, and we will continue to do what we will do along the lines of our positions.”

Reporters also asked him if such a statement was a surprise, and Armenia’s FM replied: “I don’t want to speak about surprises. Surprises happen every day.”

As reported earlier, US ambassador Mills said in a recent interview that the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict will require the return of some “occupied territories.”
