YEREVAN.- Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan received Thomas Mayr-Harting, Executive Director for Europe and Central Asia of the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the EU Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Switalski.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of security and defense, in particular, the possibility of involving military personnel in training programs and EU peacekeeping missions. The interlocutors noted the importance of creating an appropriate legal field for these purposes.

At the request of the guests, Tonoyan presented the situation on the contact line and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, noting a certain decrease in tension.
