YEREVAN. – Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the “Tsarukyan” Faction at the National assembly (NA) of Armenia, is hopeful that the bill on making amendments to the Electoral Code will pass in the first reading at the NA special session to be convened on October 29.

Zohrabyan on Tuesday told reporters in parliament that she hopes that clear-headed logic will prevail.

The MP informed that the “Way Out” (Yelk) Faction had joined their signature campaign to convene a special parliamentary session on October 29—and on whose agenda will be the aforesaid bill, whereas the NA faction of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party had not joined this campaign, but informed that it planned to vote in favor of this draft law, come October 29.

“The needed signatures have been collected,” Naira Zohrabyan said. “Twenty-seven signatures were needed, but they are more than that.”
