Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian, who is in Switzerland on a working visit, on Wednesday met with secretary general Mukhisa Kituyi of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in Geneva.

The President stressed the importance of the UNCTAD assistance to Armenia’s economy.

Noting that Armenia has great potential and ambitious programs in various domains of economy, Sarkissian said the country anticipates active participation by international financial institutions to the implementation of various programs.

Secretary general of the UNCTAD, in turn, hailed Armenia’s growing involvement in a variety of programs.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed Armenia’s investment policy, external debt management, and deepening of cooperation.
