Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan opened the Istanbul-hosted summit on Syria, which is held in Istanbul, Xinhua reported. 

"The entire world is watching our summit. I believe we will not fail to meet those expectations by adopting a sincere and constructive approach," Erdogan said in his opening speech.

As reported earlier, a four-way summit on Syris is being held in Istanbul on Saturday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan are taking part in it.
