According to Collins dictionary, “single-use” has been named the world of the year, the Independent reported. 

“Single-use” refers to products, often plastic, which are made to be used only once before they are thrown away.

According to the source, the use of the word has increased up four times since 2013.

Last year, “fake news” were named the word of the year.
