YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian received Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II in his residence on Saturday.

They discussed the relations between the government and the church as well as national and church issues, the statement issued by the president’s office says.

The President and Catholicos also touched upon the deepening of ties between Armenia and Diaspora that will enable to resist the existing challenges.
