Ohio intends to become the first state to accept bitcoin for tax bills, WSJ reported

Companies will be able to go to OhioCrypto.com, register to pay for everything from cigarette sales taxes to employee withholding taxes.

Thus, the US will be the first state to accept Bitcoin as the official currency.

According to State Treasurer Josh Mandel, the program is a sign that indicates that the state intends to create the most favorable conditions for technology.
