A magnitude-5.9 earthquake was registered Wednesday in the Pacific Ocean, north of Japan, and south of Hokkaido Island.
The Japan Meteorological Agency informed that the epicenter of this seismic activity was located in the west coast of Aomori Prefecture of Japan’s main island of Honshu, RIA Novosti reported.
Seismologists, however, reported that there was no danger of a tsunami.
No casualties or devastation are reported yet.
