A senior ISIS leader was killed in a drone strike by US-led coalition in Syria on Sunday, Fox News reported.

Abu al Umarayn was involved in the brutal murder of former U.S. Army Ranger Peter Kassig, coalition’s spokesperson Sean Ryan said in a statement.

PeterKassig, a 26-year-old U.S. citizen and former American soldier, was captured in Syria in October 2013 as he was working for one of the humanitarian organizations. He provided to Syrians who were fleeing the country's civil war. He converted to Islam and took the first name Abdu
