YEREVAN. – A major international conference devoted to the 30th anniversary of the devastating earthquake that hit Armenia is underway in Yerevan, the capital city of the country.

The objective of this symposium is to combine the knowledge of leading and young specialists, and to discuss new methods for earthquake prediction.

The event has brought together more that 100 specialists from numerous countries.

The conference will conclude on Friday, December 7, the 30th anniversary of the destructive earthquake that hit Armenia.

The discussants will also visit the epicenter of this natural disaster.
