The country's participation as an observer in the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Union opens up prospects for deepening economic, social and humanitarian cooperation with the EEU member states, said Moldovan President Igor Dodon.

The meeting of the Eurasian Union leaders will be held on December 6 in St. Petersburg, he said.

According to him, in 2017, the EEU countries imported food products and agricultural raw materials in the amount of $ 30.2 billion from third countries.

Moldova exported $1.1 billion worth of food products and agricultural raw materials to all countries of the world and could significantly increase supplies to the EEU member states by increasing production volumes and export potential of products.
