The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will take place Thursday in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will attend this event.

Pashinyan on Monday stated about the aforementioned at his talk with the residents of Masis town, and during the My Step alliance’s campaign rallies for the upcoming snap parliamentary election in the country.

“Yesterday I had said that, in a telephonic conversation with me, the president of the Russian Federation proposed not to hold the CSTO summit slated for [Thursday,] December 6, until we discuss that matter [the appointment of the next CSTO Secretary General] in a working order,” the acting PM said. “But at the same time we have the session of the supreme council of the Eurasian Economic Union on December 6, [and] which will take place in Saint Petersburg, and I will participate in that session.”

Nikol Pashinyan expressed the hope that Armenian citizens will forgive him for missing that one day in the current election campaign season in the country.
